Description
The John Howard Association of Illinois (JHA) has fought for a fair, humane, and transparent criminal justice system. As Illinois’s only independent, nonpartisan prison watchdog, JHA advocates for system-wide change by monitoring correctional facilities and promoting reforms in Illinois’s adult and juvenile prisons.
A Toast to Justice aims to bring to light the challenges experienced by those that interact with the Justice system in Illinois through testimonials and interviews from those formerly incarcerated and through literature.
The event will include drinks and appetizers and will also include silent auctions and raffles of various prizes.
