Description

At Distraction to Destiny, we are dedicated to empowering at-risk youth to unlock their full potential through a diverse array of educational, mentoring, and social support services. Our core mission revolves around youth development, which we achieve through a range of initiatives. Annually, we recognize deserving individuals with scholarships, and our six-month sessions equip them with vital life skills, college readiness tools, financial aid guidance, and mental health awareness. Moreover, our program delves into community service opportunities, fostering a well-rounded approach to personal growth. Our upcoming annual banquet in July 2024 will honor 15 recipients with $500 each, alongside providing essential personal hygiene items, toiletries, and grocery gift cards. This initiative acknowledges the unique challenges faced by youth in underserved communities, aiming to uplift them towards brighter futures.
