Pilgrim Park has set a goal of academic growth for all students. Our students and staff have been working extremely hard this school year and we are so proud of the gains they are making. While many of our students have strong intrinsic motivation to be successful in the classroom, we also recognize that there are many factors competing for their attention at this including extra curriculars, social interactions, emotional needs, and more. We have implemented an incentive program for students to motivate them to continue working hard to make academic growth. The incentive program includes recognizing students who are making exemplary growth and/or are exhibiting exemplary effort in the classroom. Students that are doing one or both of these things have the opportunity to win high interest rewards that also cultivate a partnership with our community and/or relationships with adults at school. We distribute these rewards at the end of the grading term in grade level celebratory assemblies.
