Summer Reading as a concept has been a tradition since the 1890s. It promotes literacy and a love of lifelong learning for all ages. The Warminster Library’s Summer Reading program expands on that goal by tackling the loss of academic achievement in the summer month otherwise known as the “Summer Slide”. We offer free programs and services that inspire young minds and build lifelong reading habits in a safe and welcoming environment. Donations like yours will serve as prizes to encourage and draw in reluctant readers who benefit the most from our programs and services. Our ultimate goal is to foster a love of reading, libraries, and learning. 

We also offer an adult Summer Reading program, so everyone can join the fun! This year, our theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library," and we will be holding craft, art, science, and history programs throughout the summer months. Summer Reading starts on June 17 and runs for 7 weeks until August 4th. All donations and prizes are given out at the end of the program.
