Description

Dear Friends of South County High School,

High School Graduation is an important milestone in a teenager’s life which deserves to be honored and celebrated in style, with safety in mind.  Since 1987 Fairfax County high schools, with the support of the PTSO, community, friends, and businesses, have hosted a dynamic, safe, alcohol and drug-free graduation celebration.  This year South County’s All Night Graduation celebration, The Final Stampede, will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, at The St. James Sports Complex.  We are planning a fantastic evening for our seniors; there will be ice skating, rock climbing, BINGO, casino games, food, prizes, and more.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) conceived the idea of an all-night alcohol and drug-free graduation party several years ago.  Since its inception the number of senior fatalities on graduation night has dropped significantly.  With your support we can continue to bring the number of fatalities down and provide our seniors with an evening to remember.

Expenses for an All Night Graduation Party for a class of over 500 students are enormous.  While ticket sales to seniors help defray some of the cost of the evening, we try and keep ticket prices affordable so that all our seniors can attend.  In the past many caring individuals have anonymously sponsored seniors who could not afford the cost of the ticket. In addition, monetary donations are necessary to cover the cost of food and entertainment.  Contributions of small and large prizes and gift certificates augment the evening’s activities with prize drawings.

June will be here sooner than you think, and we need your pledge of support now.  Please help by sending your contribution today.  A form is provided to indicate the type of support you are offering.  If you are making a monetary donation, please make your check payable to South County PTSO, with All Night Grad Party (ANGP) in the memo line.  If you would like to donate an item, please feel free to call or e-mail me to arrange a pick-up time, if needed.

Your generous support is greatly appreciated and is a gesture of faith in our leaders of tomorrow.  We must let our teens know we support their desire to make the right choices on graduation evening.  All contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and contributors will be acknowledged.

If you have any questions or wish to offer your support to this worthwhile event, please do not hesitate to contact me at (703) 302-0197, angp@southcountyptso.org. On behalf of the South County High School Class of 2022, thank you for your support!
