All the Small things is a Family Friendly Event to raise awareness, fundraise and bring together a community that we have grown to be a part of after having micro preemies - born 23 weeks 6 days, weighing one pound each.

Held to raise money to continue our mission, The Potato Head Project brings HOPE, a community and a resource to families going through the unthinkable.

First, a BIG introduction from a tiny start--
Our names are Dylan and Hayden Moan, and in 2013 we were born 4 months early - that’s right, just 23 weeks gestation. We weighed 1 pound each and gave our parents quite a scare. When our parents first entered the NICU they were anxious and had no idea who to turn to or what to expect. A nurse suggested finding a stuffed animal to take weekly photos with because its hard to believe it,  but we would grow. Our Dad went to the store and brought back a Mrs. Potato Head as it could be sanitized and everyone knows how big a Potato Head is! So it started. From there, our parents started sending packages to family, friends and others who had a micro preemie going through the NICU. Over the years our packages have changed and grown but our main item is always the Potato Head. 

We will get right to business.

On April 18, 2020 we will be hosting our 2nd “all the small things” event where we focus on everything that encompasses the NICU and preemies.  Small things. Small milestones (like being held for the first time which our parents didn’t get to do for 30 and 44 days), small things that make a difference like a parking pass for the hospital or a care package (like what we send). Small things just like us. If you’ve never seen a micro preemie, we have shared some of our PHP family photos below - our own and other recipients! We have sent over 2,000 packages nationwide to date.

All the Small Things was a smashing success last time and we are excited to do it again. Our main goal is to raise funds to keep packages free for all families. We know that it brings HOPE, a sense of community and most of all something to look forward to. The NICU is a dark and scary place (we should know, we lived there for 4 months). We just want to help others, but in order to do that we need your help. We are looking for sponsors, in-kind donations, silent auction items and really anything your heart has to give. Our parents work hard at helping others and we know we are making a difference.
