Currently, more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and with another person developing the disease every 65 seconds, that number could rise to nearly 14 million by 2050. Not only does this epidemic affect millions of lives, but the societal impact of Alzheimer’s and other dementias – on government, families and businesses – is estimated to total $290 billion in 2019 and is projected to increase up to $1.1 trillion by 2050.

Funds raised at the annual Alzheimer’s Association Purple Gala will help people facing Alzheimer’s and related dementias by supporting critical programs and services, including our 24/7 Helpline, support groups, education, advocacy, and research.
