Guardian Angel Community Services (GACS) is proud to announce our upcoming 14th Annual Gala & Fundraiser: Angelica: Dancing With Our Local Stars.  During these unprecedented times, we have all faced so many challenges, and have done our best to adapt to our changing world. Given these circumstances, the adults, children and families we serve, need us now, more than ever before. While we have been unable to host our traditional in-person gala, for the past two years, the funding needed to provide life-saving services continues to increase. 

It is with hopeful optimism that we announce our 2022 event is planned to be held in-person, while adhering to state-wide COVID-19 regulations, and requiring proof of vaccination or negative test results, on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at Bobak’s Signature Events (Woodridge, IL).  We are so very excited to have the opportunity to bring back Guardian Angel Community Service’s primary and signature fundraising event this year, in order to raise funding that is critically needed.   

The unwavering support from businesses like yours has allowed our programs to grow and expand through the years, while fulfilling our mission to help empower people to improve the quality of their lives. We hope that you will consider helping us continue to serve our community and to save lives by making an in-kind donation to be used as a raffle or silent auction item at our annual fundraising event.

Your contribution will go a long way in supporting our 7 programs, that have continued to provide life-saving services, 24 hours daily, despite global shutdowns, since the start of the pandemic:

• GROUNDWORK: Comprehensive services for individuals impacted by domestic violence

• SUZY’S CARING PLACE: Transitional housing & support services for survivors of domestic violence

• SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICE CENTER: Sexual assault, rape crisis services and prevention education

• PARTNER ABUSE INTERVENTION PROGRAM: Support & education to foster healthy relationships

• FOSTER CARE: Nurturing and safe homes for children & licensing for foster parents

• EXCHANGE CLUB CENTER: Counseling & education-based services to prevent child abuse/neglect

• ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES: Helping to protect adults with disabilities and the elderly in need

“Angelica: Dancing With Our Local Stars”, features eight prominent local residents who prepare a dance routine with a professional to perform at the event. This exciting event includes dinner, a dancing competition, raffle/ silent auction, an award ceremony recognizing our top supporters and more. The event is heavily advertised and attended, reaching thousands and offering the opportunity for great exposure and advertisement.
