Guardian Angel Community Services (GACS) is proud to announce the upcoming 15th Anniversary of our Annual Fundraising Gala: Angelica: Dancing With Our Local Stars.  It is with much excitement that we announce our 2023 event will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at Bobak’s Signature Events (Woodridge, IL).  In paying homage to the event’s 15th Anniversary, we are planning a very special “Night of Champions” as we welcome back first place winners from the past 15 years. 

The unwavering support from businesses like yours has allowed our programs to grow and expand through the years, and our agency celebrated 125 years of service to our community in 2022.  Because of your support, we were able to continue fulfilling our mission to provide diverse services that inspire people to improve the quality of their lives in their greatest time of need.  We hope that you will consider helping us continue to serve our community and to save lives by making an in-kind donation to be used as a raffle or silent auction item at our annual fundraising event.

Your contribution will go a long way in supporting our 7 programs, that have continued to provide life-saving services, 24 hours daily: 

• GROUNDWORK: Comprehensive services for individuals impacted by domestic violence

• SUZY’S CARING PLACE: Transitional housing & support services for survivors of domestic violence

• SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICE CENTER: Sexual assault, rape crisis services and prevention education

• PARTNER ABUSE INTERVENTION PROGRAM: Support & education to foster healthy relationships

• FOSTER CARE: Nurturing and safe homes for children & licensing for foster parents

• EXCHANGE CLUB CENTER: Counseling & education-based services to prevent child abuse/neglect

• ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES: Helping to protect adults with disabilities and the elderly in need

“Angelica 2023: Dancing With Our Local Stars”, will feature prominent local residents who have competed and taken first place in our event over the course of the past 15 years.  Our “champions” will prepare a dance routine with a professional to perform at the event. This exciting event includes dinner, a dancing competition, raffle/ silent auction, an award ceremony recognizing our top supporters and more. The event is heavily advertised and attended, reaching thousands and offering the opportunity for great exposure and advertisement.
