Description

Hi,

I wanted to reach out to you this year for our upcoming Alli Ortega Empty Bowls Fundraiser.

You were gracious enough to provide an item for our online auction last year and I wanted to see if you’d be interested in donating an item again this year.

I’ve put together some information on the event below and what the program supports.

Our nonprofit, Scottsdale Community Partners (formerly Concerned Citizens for Community Health, EIN 95-3416943), a 501(c)(3) organization that has been helping low-income residents in crisis within Scottsdale Arizona since 1975.

We are currently doing outreach for in-kind donation items that we can use in our upcoming Annual Alli Ortega Empty Bowls Fundraiser during our online auction. This is one of our main fundraisers of the year, where we raised $30,861 last year (with the help of your item!) with the hopes of raising over $30,000 again this year.

This year, our fundraising event has partnered with the Scottsdale Family Arts Fest at SkySong from March 24th-25th. There we will be selling bowls in person to all of the SUSD parents and students that come through (estimated 2,500+ people). The fundraiser will have two components to it. One will be an in-person experience on March 24th-25th selling bowls and showcasing online auction items. The second will be a week-long online auction from March 19th-26th.

Our Annual Alli Ortega Empty Bowls Fundraiser has helped hundreds of Scottsdale families and seniors receive food, school supplies, healthy lunches, necessary supplies, and assistance during tough times, and right now they need our support more than ever.

All proceeds will benefit SCP Programs for youth (Back to School and Healthy Packs), families (Vista del Camino Food Bank, Adopt a Family, and Emergency Rent & Utility Assistance), and seniors (Adopt a Senior, Beat the Heat, Brown Bag) in the Scottsdale community who are experiencing a crisis. In 2022, 465 families, 320 seniors, and 753 students in Scottsdale were served through these critical programs.

We would be thrilled if Six Flags would contribute an item to the auction. This could be a gift card, a free service, or something you feel is appropriate. Really anything you'd be willing to donate would help our local community get assistance to people who need it.

If you would like to be an event sponsor instead of donating an item, we have multiple levels ranging from $250 up to $50,000 that include logo placements and additional perks. Let me know, and I will have Denny Brown from our team reach out to you.

During the fundraiser, we will be promoting the in-kind items to our donor list through social media posts and email marketing. Additionally, when the event ends we will be sending out an email and social posts thanking our in-kind item donors.

For more information on our nonprofit and all of the programs we support, you can visit our website at https://scpaz.org or for more information about Empty Bowls, please visit https://scpaz.org/empty-bowls/ to view last year's details. We will be updating the website very soon with the new details. If you would like to discuss the event further, you can reach me at this email or on my cell at 480.586.6960.

Thank you for your time.
