On Friday, October 6, LARC will be hosting its Annual Appreciation Dinner at The Serbian Social Center in Lansing to celebrate the many accomplishments of LARC, our staff, and the amazing individuals with disabilities that we serve each day.

The event is otherwise known as our "Annual Gala." It will raise more than $20,000 to help to fund the services and supports needed in the areas of job training and employment, daily life skills enrichment, senior care, 24-hour residential services, and special recreation.

The event typically draws more than 300 guests and features appetizers, dinner, complimentary cocktails, music, dancing, raffles and a silent auction. The event is one of LARC’s largest fundraising events, raising revenues through ticket sales, sponsorships, donations and proceeds from the auction and raffles.

You can help us in this crucial fundraising effort by making a donation for use in our Silent Auction or “Pick-a-Prize” Raffles, which will be bid upon by over 300 of our attending patrons. Popular items include gift certificates and/or themed gift baskets that feature arts & crafts, casual & fine dining, overnight stays, popular attractions, hobbies & collectibles, jewelry, sports goods, tickets & memorabilia, as well as wine, craft beer & spirits!

LARC’s mission is to pave pathways through individualized supports and services so people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can experience a self-directed lifestyle. It is through our partnerships with our friends in the community that we can envision an inclusive society that embraces the individuality of each person with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
