Charlestown Playhouse is a non-profit, cooperative, play-based nursery school and kindergarten serving Phoenixville and the surrounding areas. The school emphasizes learning through child-directed play, the importance of supporting social and emotional development in young children, the beauty and value of nature, and a strong sense of community. 

We host an online auction where about 300 local bidders will be bidding on our auction items. The funds raised are used to support our school which has been an integral part of the community for over 86 years. We invite you to support our school by sponsoring or donating to our 2024 Annual Auction. This year our live auction gala will be on March 16, 2024 and an online event from March 11-14, 2024. 

Through the cooperative model and our fundraising, we can care for our historic property and unique play yard, offer educational resources to the larger community, and provide financial access to high-quality early childhood education for many families who could not otherwise afford such a program.
