As Butler County’s Community Action Agency, Supports to Encourage Low-income Families (SELF) assisted more than 6,000 families in 2023. Our programs teach individuals the skills needed for long-term self-sufficiency and also assist with basic needs like utility assistance and home repairs.  As many families continue to struggle in our communities, the need is greater than ever for the services that SELF provides. 

On Friday, April 26, 2024, SELF will host its Annual Awards Celebration at Receptions in Fairfield. We are going to “saddle up” and celebrate our 28th year of service in Butler County with a rodeo themed event. We will also highlight agency accomplishments, celebrate client successes and present the Janet Clemmons Community Service Award to an individual who goes above and beyond in working with Butler County’s low-income community.
