Annual Benefit Auction
Other Event Type for Mt. Pleasant Christian SchoolJun 04, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
The Annual Benefit Auction at Mt. Pleasant Christian School is the major fundraiser of the year for the school. The fundraiser is held on the last day of school and includes a live auction, silent auction and chance auction. All of the items sold at the annual auction are from donations that have been made from a variety of businesses and individuals. The friendly competitive bidding for these items exceeds the actual value. The funds from this auction have helped to provide a nurturing learning environment for many students through the years.
Hundreds of people from the school (including current students and alumni) and community gather for a day of fun, fellowship, bidding and lunch. It has become an annual tradition that many will not miss! Games and attractions keep the children busy while their parents and grandparents are bidding at the live auction.
MPCS, founded in 1941, offers an educational alternative for the surrounding community. Currently we have 100 students. The school’s goal is to create an environment which will nurture the students' spiritual, academic and social growth for Pre-school (3 & 4 year olds) through Grade 8. Throughout its history, the school has relied on fundraising to supplement the operating budget in order to keep tuition at an affordable rate.
