My name is Michelle Roseburrough, and I am the Events and Marketing Manager at Marshalltown Area United Way. We are in our 94th year as a nonprofit charitable organization that has touches the lives of over 12,000 local individuals annually. We are reaching out to request charitable donations from your organization for our upcoming Annual Charity Golf Event.
The event will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown. There will be 32-36 teams of four players per team. After the 18 holes are completed a meal is served from a local restaurant/catering business. During this time, we hand out and draw for prizes, which are the items that have been donated such as gift cards, tickets, etc.
The mission of the United Way of Marshalltown is, to provide a mechanism to encourage charitable giving and facilitate the distribution of gifts to partner agencies that will enhance the quality of life for all Marshall County residents. The Annual Charity Golf Event helps us achieve this mission in various ways. It allows partnering agencies to interact with community members and share their stories. Moreover, this event helps us provide information on our organization and communicate the need for these services in Marshall County.
Your generosity will help us to reach our overall campaign goal to fund 28 vital agencies and their programs.
