Our names are Kate Gildard and Nicole Radassao, and we are reaching out from the Office of Admission at Marist College. We are also members of the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC), where we serve as co-chairs on our annual conference’s steering committee. NYSACAC is comprised of counselors from high schools, university admission offices, and community-based organizations from all over New York State, who all spend their days helping high school students decide which college will be the right one for them.

Each year, we hold a conference where approximately 1,000 attendees gather together to network and learn from one another on how to better serve prospective college students. The conference involves numerous workshops, keynote speakers, and fundraising events, including a Silent Auction. The auction proceeds are allocated to fund scholarship opportunities for students and the many educational and professional development forums and conferences NYSACAC supports. These programs directly impact high school and college students and their pursuit of higher education.

We are writing today to request any item(s) that you might be willing to donate for this year’s Silent Auction. This year’s conference will be held from June 6-9 at St. Bonaventure University. We welcome you to visit our website for more information and details.

In the past we have collected items such as gift certificates, merchandise, or vouchers redeemable for services. In exchange, you will receive some excellent community exposure and advertising. Your company name, logo, address, phone number, and donation will be listed on our website. Anything you would be willing to donate would be much appreciated.
