Description

We are an extremely active club within the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. We are a part of a larger umbrella organization called Christian Veterinary Mission. Our club is full of veterinarians and vet students who want to help people through veterinary medicine. We take three mission trips a year, one to the Navajo and Apache reservations in Arizona, to Romania, and another to South Africa. Both trips involve practicing veterinary medicine in underserved areas and championing people in how much they are truly loved. Our club also works to serve the community around us and the students next to us. We have a close group of vets and students that work to serve each other and others more and more.
On October 23, 2021 CVF will hold its largest fundraiser, the annual Fall Auction. Our annual trips take prayer and money to make them happen! We will have food, music, trip stories and a variety of amazing items auctioned off by a professional auctioneer. It is always an awesome night full of laughter and good finds. We always seek out local businesses for a chance to help us serve others by donating an item for our auction. This is a great way to both serve people and advertise your business as well. Items for the auction comprise of donations from within the college, from various veterinary food and drug corporations, individual donations, and from businesses in the Athens community. Currently, we are accepting donations and would greatly appreciate any contributions that you wish to offer. In years past, donations have included merchandise, services, gift cards, etc.
