The Grow Kids and Kinship Garden Gala is the largest fundraiser for RUSC (Raising Up Stevens County) Kinship Mentoring. The community is invited to a free will donation meal, so that it is affordable and inclusive for all. Invitations are sent to those that have made an impact on RUSC Kinship whether in donating their time, funds, or goods, especially the mentors and mentees. It is also advertised and open to everyone. It is held at the local park where games such as potato sack races, three legged races, and corn hole are played as well as face painting. There is a gardening theme in the silent auction and a live band. This is also where the community patio is located. The community patio is built from engraved pavers that were funded by community organizations, businesses, and individuals as a demonstration of the community's investment in the young people who live in the community. The newly purchased pavers will be installed and on displayed at the Gala.
