Description

We are asking for your support by providing a donation to our upcoming Annual Journal Dinner on May 1, 2022.

Congregation Ohav Sholom of Merrick proudly serves Nassau County through adult education, youth enrichment, and community services. Our Bikur Cholim (literally, “caring for the sick") program provides food donations, toy donations to ill or underprivileged children, elderly outreach and entertainment programs, blood drives, and many other causes that benefit and inspire the entire community.

The congregation sustains these programs through private contributions, volunteers, and corporate sponsorships. One of our most effective fundraisers is our Annual Journal Dinner, supported by raffle donations and ads from valued businesses like yours.

This year is extremely special, as we will be honoring our beloved Rabbi Ira Ebbin and his wife Chevi Ebbin for their 12 years of devotion and service to our community. With his religious inspiration and guidance, Rabbi Ebbin has been involved in everything we do at Ohav, and never more so than during the Covid-19 pandemic. Chevi continues to be an ongoing partner with the Rabbi for our community, through her committee volunteer work and graciously opening their home for Shabbat and holidays.

To accomplish our goals we need your help! In the past, local area and regional organizations supported our fundraising efforts through donations of surplus merchandise and/or gift certificates. All of these goods will be auctioned or raffled at the dinner, with the proceeds applied to the programs described above. Your names & office will be publicized and displayed as a sponsor alongside any donated items at the event.

Congregation Ohav Sholom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Tax ID# 11-2020781. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Congregation Ohav Sholom will issue a letter confirming your donation upon receipt of items.
