City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is providing care and rescue for over 1,000 dogs and cats a year. It is paramount to the shelters who rely on our help every day that we continue our efforts in saving lives so all these dogs can be given the second chance at life that they deserve. Vet care, transportation, and other expenses can easily reach $600 per dog/cat and our adoption fee is only $395/$175 respectively. Fundraisers like this are of critical importance to saving lives. Last year, our online auction raised over $60,000 for our organization, and we are hoping to significantly exceed that amount this year to support our mission of rescuing dogs in urgent need. Our auction is planned for May 2018, with the specific date TBD.

In 2017 alone: 

• Rescued 588 dogs and 557 cats. 4,304 rescued since 2011 with new arrivals daily!
• Treated almost 400 medical cases. Typically 2 critical cases per month. Medical costs easily exceed $400k/year
• Treated 43 heartworm disease cases. The cost of each averages $600 ($25,800+/year)
• Provide training guidance and/or in-home training session to around 120 dog fosters
