My name is Lauren Maisberger, the Director of Development at Allen Community College in Iola, KS. I run our Endowment Association which is a certified non-profit 501c3 organization that assists in fundraising separate from the college Each year the Endowment hosts our Annual Scholarship Gala. The Gala raises funds to help provide students with scholarships and our goal this year is to raise $50,000. All of the proceeds from the Gala go directly back to the students, none of it is kept by the college. 

At Allen we serve a lot of rural and underprivileged students who struggle with the financial burden of college tuition. Being able to help alleviate that burden through scholarships, makes all the difference in a student receiving their education.
