We are Lorne St. Elementary School, a neighborhood Title 1 STEM magnet in Northridge, CA. Our students come from culturally diverse neighborhoods around the San Fernando Valley and embody excellence in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in order to solve real world problems as global citizens through a social/emotional emphatic lens. Our teachers, staff, students and community are committed to excellence.  Students collaboratively investigate, analyze, and articulate their knowledge and discoveries.  Diversified experiences in math literature, science, technology, engineering, social studies, and the arts inspire our students to embrace a passion for learning. The school also maintains an award-winning robotics program (The Screamin' Eagles) as well as organizes workshops for parents in English learning, mental health, and safety/social awareness. 

We are holding our annual silent auction to help support our school PTA on April 11, 2024. The PTA at Lorne funds essential computer programs for our students, as well as pays for communication platforms, special events, field trips, and community outreach. This auction is vital to our yearly budget, which next year will suffer due to expiring Covid relief funds. Lorne Elementary is proud to offer STEAM-related field trips each year for all students in grades 1-5 (Underwood Farms, Griffith Observatory, Glendale College Planetarium, The Music Center, overnights at Astro Camp and Catalina Island Marine Institute, to name a few) and, starting next year, buses and some of these trips will be the sole responsibility of the PTA to fund. 

 
As our event nears, the PTA is reaching out to try and collect as many donations as we can to include in our auction this year. We would be honored and so extremely grateful for anything that we can offer for sale to benefit our school. 

We are a 501(c)3 organization and our tax ID is 95-6220962 and we are happy to provide a donation receipt if requested.
