Our annual spring carnival is a FUN, FREE event hosted for our 500+ students, 60+ staff and all their families.  We have a great turnout, because everybody loves to have their hand at the classic carnival games and the tasty carnival foods!  While we do keep the event free, we also host a silent auction and raffle to raise money for the PTO.  Last year we raised over $5,000, which was the most we had done in several years.  Our goal this year is $6,000. 

Donations come in from many local businesses, and even our own student and staff families, and everybody in attendance loves to have their chance at winning! We acknowledge all of our donors on a large printed “walls of thanks” sign each year. The PTO funds are not only used for the obvious needs such as updating technology, new books and supplies, but also for any other needs that we see in our school.  We use these funds for different family events held throughout the year.  We have implemented a program that sends snacks and easy to make meals home in the backpacks of children that are at risk of hunger.  We use the PTO money to cover technology fees, field trip fees and more, when students are not able to bring the money in from home. We have even helped a family by placing them in a hotel for a night when they needed to be moved out of a domestic violence situation.  If there is a need, we address it through these funds.
