I am writing to you on behalf of the Burnsville Band Boosters Association to request a donation for our 2nd annual silent auction to be held in conjunction with our high school spring band concerts on May 24 & 26, 2022.

At these and other spring music events in Burnsville’s schools, we will showcase our online silent auction that will feature gift cards, merchandise, gift baskets, and services generously donated by businesses in our community. Donors’ names will be showcased at these events, as well as in our promotion of the online silent auction website.                                   

The event proceeds will be put towards the Band Booster’s goal of raising funds to support instrumental music education programs for Independent School District (ISD) 191. The Band Boosters provides material support in the form of instruments, uniforms, music texts, music camp tuition, recognition awards, and other incentives and assistance.

The ISD 191 band program has been a strong part of the local community in Burnsville for many years. We currently have hundreds of band students in grades 6-12, representing our community with students from a wide range of families, ethnicities, cultures, countries, and languages. While the Burnsville school district provides funding for directors and competition fees, recent budget cuts will diminish instrumental programming for the coming school year. Band Boosters fundraising is necessary to keep band programs active and affordable for Burnsville students. Your donation will help ensure the success of music and the arts in the Burnsville school district, now and into the future.
