Thank you for all that you have to offer our community.  Once again this spring, the Acorn Montessori School Parent Association is hosting the annual Spring Gala event in order to raise funds to support the school’s educational initiatives.  Currently, we are looking for businesses to help support our school by sponsoring the event.  On May 19th, 2023 at Hawk Point Golf Club, we are gathering as a community for our 39th Anniversary Gala to celebrate Acorn Montessori School.  We are proud to be celebrating 39 years of providing an exceptional Montessori education for children age 18 months through elementary and now middle school!  Acorn provides the opportunity for students to learn using the Montessori Philosophy in a safe, loving environment that encourages problem solving, independent thinking, kindness and compassion for others, service to others, exploration of interests, peace education, and environmental awareness.  Some of the tenants of Montessori are:

It is an approach that values the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.

A Montessori education includes multiage groupings that foster peer learning, uninterrupted blocks of work time, and guided choice of work activity.

A foundation of lifelong learning is built from birth through adolescence.

     Our Spring Gala Fundraiser directly benefits the children in the classrooms, raising money to purchase new materials, providing increased teacher education opportunities, and enhancing the activities available to the children, both indoors and outdoors.
