On August 2nd our local library will have a brunch, silent auction, and house tour to benefit the library.

Clymer Library was founded in the early 20th century and is an important part of the Pocono Mountains. The library's mission is to foster lifelong learning for a diverse community by providing access to quality, innovative resources. We believe in promoting a love of reading, the importance of being a resource for the area’s information needs, and that everyone should experience the joy of a good book.

The library’s programs benefit both children and adults, and events like the summer reading contest are time-honored traditions. Clymer Library also partners with many schools in the areas including Pocono Mountain West and Tobyhanna Elementary Center (TEC). Many of the students at both schools come from low-income households and the library serves as a place where they can learn about the world through exposure to art, books, and speakers. Our library also displays the TEC students’ artwork in the windows and their projects in the community room, which is a source of tremendous pride for them.

With the challenges and changes brought on by the pandemic and inflationary pressures, and our desire to continue expanding access to the library, we are writing today to see if you might consider being a sponsor of our upcoming event. The sponsorship money will allow the library to provide continued programming, and to purchase books, DVDs, new technology, and educational supplies.
