This past year has been a trying one for all businesses, and has been especially hard on small non-profits like the Lone Star Symphonic Band, which relies on volunteers to run the day-to-day operations of the organization as we have no paid staff. The band has not been able to perform any concerts since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down businesses in March 2020. With concerts being our main revenue stream, we have had to rely on our rainy-day savings to help with the ongoing monthly expenses that continue to come in!

The Band is fortunate enough that we have been able to continue having our bi-annual silent auctions during the pandemic, moving them to online silent auctions instead of in-person auctions. We offer to ship the baskets to the winners at the end of the auctions, if they are not comfortable with contactless curbside pickup.  Our patrons have been amazing during this time, and have stepped up to the plate in supporting us while we are not able to provide the high quality concerts they are accustomed to enjoying.  If you are interested in seeing our most recent online silent auction, it can be found at 32auctions.com/LSSBChristmas2020.

I am aware this is continuing to be a trying time for all businesses, and I am writing to ask if your company could donate an item for our upcoming online silent auction.  In exchange for your donation, we will list you as a donor on our website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages, and in our programs once we are able to continue holding in person concerts.  Funds from the silent auction will go towards monthly expenses while we are on hiatus so that when concerts are able to resume, we can continue to offer our patrons low ticket prices. The Band is a registered 501(C)3 non-profit organization, so all donations will be fully tax-deductible.  I appreciate any help you can provide to make this silent auction an amazing one.
