We invite you to join us on Thursday, October 15, from the comfort of your home, for CASA of Collin County’s virtual Voice for Children Gala! For 19 years, the annual gala has been one of the largest funding sources for Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides an unwavering voice for abused and neglected children in Collin County.
We are seeking donations of products and services from local merchants to incorporate into our weeklong online silent auction. As a supporter of the Voice for Children Gala, your contribution helps us continue fulfilling our mission to ensure 100% of children removed from their homes have an advocate by their side, fighting for their best interests. The collective generosity of our community partners enables us to speak on behalf of at-risk youth at no cost to the courts, community, or families being served.
Due to social distancing and school closures, children have lost vital connections to their teachers, neighbors, and friends. This has very quickly turned into a dangerous and devastating situation for many children. While reports of child abuse are down across the county, we know that this does not mean abuse isn’t happening. Unfortunately, the risk of abuse and neglect is increasing and the cases coming forth are more severe in nature. While our dedicated team of staff and advocates are working around the clock to put eyes on these children, we need your help to prepare for the unfortunate increase of cases expected in the near future.
Although our event may look different this year, it will be a wonderful time to reflect on our advocates’ essential work while raising necessary funds to continue our mission during these unprecedented times. Your generous support will enable us to provide a voice to every defenseless child impacted by abuse and neglect in our community. We cannot do this without you.
