Anthony's Reveal Event
Other Event Type for Adaptive Advocates Inc/ Capes For A CosMay 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Our first costume recipient is Anthony, who is 5 years old and suffers from Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, which has him confined to a wheelchair. Anthony just LOVES firefighters and has requested a firefighter uniform and a custom fire truck built around his wheelchair! Our volunteers have been hard at work building Anthony’s dream costume, and on May 21, 2022, we will be holding a reveal event, where the costume will be unveiled to Anthony and his family! The event will be taking place at the Yonkers Station 1 Fire Department. The Mayor of Yonkers will be presenting Anthony with his Honorary Firefighter Certification, along with Congressman DiGuardi and several other city officials. Anthony's teachers from Elizabeth Seton Children’s School will also be present to cheer him on! Additionally, Anthony will be presented with several donations and gifts from the Chicago Fire Department. News 12 Westchester will be in attendance, along with Yonkers Voice, who will also be live streaming the event. There will be food trucks available for guests, including custom-made Capes cookies for Anthony's big day! We will also be holding a fundraising raffle for prizes and gifts, along with the sale of Capes merchandise, and a live music for entertainment.
We would be honored to receive a donation from your organization for our fundraising raffle. In return for your generous donation, we would be happy to feature your organization’s logo at our Sponsor table, where raffle tickets are sold. We cannot thank you enough for your time and dedication to helping us build our organization and continue bringing smiles to little faces!
