The requested donation is to support the Annual Fundraising Party and Auction to be held this month in support of the Independence Charter School (ICS) Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in Philadelphia.

ICS is a Title I, community-based K-8 public charter school of academic excellence, centrally located in Philadelphia and serving a diverse community of learners. ICS provides an intellectually-stimulating curriculum with a global focus designed to develop independent, thoughtful global citizens. ICS emphasizes second language acquisition and integrates arts, ideas, and histories from around the world.

As a public charter school within the Philadelphia School District, ICS relies heavily on the generosity of its families, residents, and businesses, like you. The ICS-PTA Annual Fundraising Party and Auction is a critical fundraiser, and we hope you will consider a contribution to the auction. This year's fundraising goal is $17,000, approximately ten percent more than last year's event revenues. Auction proceeds are used to support the students and teachers at ICS with financial resources for arts programming, the annual school musical, field trips, dance classes, and library materials, as well as community-building events, parent workshops and seminars, and teacher appreciation events. Donations will be featured prominently in the online auction and promoted to over 1,000 ICS families, staff, board members and supporters. Donors can provide information, graphics, and links for the online auction listing. The PTA also promotes each donor through social media, so parents from all over the greater Philadelphia region can learn about your business/organization. Families who become acquainted with donors through the auction continue to patronize and recommend these organizations and businesses.
