Description

Our annual banquet in Mesa, Arizona is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts. Nine-hundred sportsmen and wildlife enthusiast come together to help raise much needed funding for our projects and programs. Doors open at 4:00 pm kicking off a happy hour with a multitude of games and raffles, dinner is served at 6:00 pm., followed by a full evening of exciting live and silent auctions conducted by an auctioneer. The highlights of the evening will be the auctioning of the Arizona Game & Fish Commissioners' Special Elk Tag, Buffalo Tag, and Hualapai Indian Reservation Special Elk Tag. Every year, the banquet generates resources in support of our numerous habitat projects, youth programs, the Heroes Rising Outdoors program, wildlife conservation and advocacy. The Arizona Elk Society is the largest wildlife conservation organization dedicated to Arizona elk herds and other wildlife. The proceeds of the banquet will benefit habitat, riparian and grassland projects, youth education programs, and our water for wildlife program that hauls over 500,000 gallons of water yearly to remote wildlife drinkers across elk range each year. The Heroes Rising Outdoors program is designed to offer wounded veterans healing through hunting, equestrianism, and fishing outings. In addition to our sawyer program, we partner our trained volunteers in wild land chainsaw crew with USFS to assist with the thinning of the forest for improved habitat and fire safety.
