Avenue's 27th annual Art on the Avenue Fundraiser is on November 16, 2024! As Houston’s largest silent auction of local Houston art, this unique event showcases 100 diverse, local artists. Attendees can bid on unique pieces of art, with proceeds supporting affordable housing and community development projects spearheaded by Avenue. This means every purchase is an investment in the future of Houston’s communities. Artists selected to participate in the event donate 50%-100% of their art sales to support Avenue’s mission of advancing equity and opportunity for all Houstonians.

The event takes place at Spring Street Studios and starts with open exhibition hours that are free to the public from Saturday morning through midday and the Auction & After Party in the evening. The Auction features a brief program and gallery talk by a Guest Juror, live music, special culinary treats and gives guests the first opportunity to bid and purchase art while the mx, mingle and dance the night away for a good cause. 

Since 2001, Art on the Avenue has supported over 4,200 Houston artists and 250 student artists, invested over $2.3 million into the community and returned nearly $800,000 to local artists. In-kind donations help raise funds to support Avenue’s general operations, putting money directly back into the communities we serve by increasing access to quality, affordable apartment homes, homebuyer education, counseling and down payment assistance and neighborhood revitalization with an emphasis on health equity programming

Last year Art on the Avenue saw over 500 attendees and raised more than $250,000 to support Avenues initiatives and we expect the same attendance in 2024. This year's theme is House Party, so dust off your dancing shoes and shake a tail feather to help us raise the roof for Avenue.
