                        Dear Sir/Madam:

I would like to take a moment to introduce you to our childcare center and to tell you about our exciting Annual Art Show and Auction. The show will be held during the week of May 22, 2017.

Our non-profit center has served hundreds of children and their families since 1993. Most parents at the Center are employed in the fields of biomedical research and health care.  Our children range in age from three months to kindergarten with a total enrollment of about 125 children.

This year our goal is to raise enough money to purchase outdoor equipment and supplies, including bicycles and to replace shade structures on the playgrounds.

During the Auction, parents bid on and purchase unique pieces of artwork created by the children. Special pieces include a quilt, a tablecloth, pottery, glassware, and framed paintings all produced by the children.

Parents also bid on “baskets” full of donated items. This is a way to advertise to over 120 local families.
