ART&SOUL Gala
Gala/Party for New Orleans Center for Creative Arts InstituteMar 21, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Home is where the art is and for so many artists in New Orleans, that first home was the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). NOCCA plays a unique and vital role in the vibrant New Orleans landscape, providing an environment that nurtures future chefs, painters and designers, filmmakers and musicians, choreographers, and novelists.
The NOCCA Institute’s annual ART&SOUL benefit generates crucial funds for our student success programs, artist residencies, and many other initiatives that benefit NOCCA students, faculty, and the community.
With more than 700 patrons of the arts and supporters of arts-based education attending the gala, ART&SOUL is one of the most anticipated events on the New Orleans social calendar. On Saturday, March 21, 2020 talented NOCCA alumni, students, and celebrated New Orleans chefs come together to create an incredible evening of swinging music, stunning visual art, an incredible silent auction and delectable cuisine to support NOCCA and its nonprofit partner, The NOCCA Institute. The Patron Party begins at 6PM followed by the gala at 7:30PM
This year ART&SOUL will delve into the work of NOCCA faculty member, Keith Perelli, with a theme taken from his painting entitled “Dewdrops in the Paper Garden” (available for purchase in our live auction!). Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in our fantasy garden party by donning a headpiece made by NOLA Craft Culture, visiting the Elektra Cosmetics Glitter Bar, and taking photos with the Merry Antoinettes at garden-themed photo booth.
Dress code is creative cocktail, florals strongly encouraged.
On March 12, from 6:00-7:30pm, all sponsors and patron ticket holders will be welcomed at a special VIP auction preview reception at the home of ART&SOUL Gala Committee Co-Chairs Gregory Morey and Scott James. Guests will be able to closely inspect the incredible items that will be part of the ART&SOUL silent and live auctions on March 21st .
