Art Splash is a premier event that celebrates and raises money for Moves & Grooves Inc., a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to giving under-served youth an opportunity to explore healthy living and learning through the arts. Our mission to enhance the academic achievement of youth through creative arts programs. We fulfill our mission by using the arts as a platform to engage youth in self-exploration, while providing opportunities for leadership, education, and service. We wish to provide youth an escape from the reality of poverty and open a world where self-expression and creativity are welcomed.

The event will be at 6:00pm on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center and includes a cocktail hour, silent auction, live auction, elegant dinner, award presentation, and a wonderful performance by our youth. All of the funds raised at Art Splash will help offset the costs of our programs, such as our afterschool and summer program.

The Moves and Grooves INC Afterschool Program provides free services to students K-8 five days a week inside Title I Schools in Davidson County. Providing character education, reading/literacy, arts, fitness, nutrition, and academic services to boost student achievement and provide meaningful learning activities during non-school hours. We offer two different programs during the summer: a summer camp and youth employment. Our summer camp provides dance intervention services to grades K-8 as a way to become proactive against childhood obesity as well as educational activities to prevent summer learning loss. In addition to these two programs, we also offer a youth employment program, entrepreneurial development, and career networking opportunities for high school students.
