Art Swagger
Other Event Type for Free Arts for Abused ChildrenOct 05, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Art Swagger fuses design, art, and the act of giving back through a single evening each year. The event has been drawing the Los Angeles A&D community closer since 2011. It has grown to become one of Free Arts’ most impactful fundraisers, with dozens of supporting firms and hundreds of professionals participating.
The mission, values and purpose of Free Arts is to uplift those most impacted by abuse, neglect, homelessness, poverty, and injustice & inequity in Los Angeles. We remain steadfast in this work while continually examining what more we can do to not only provide services through art, but to dismantle the structures and systems that stand in the way of equality & inclusion and opportunities for every single member of society.
Free Arts Los Angeles serves 16,000+ children in Los Angeles each year. Programs are delivered to children in domestic violence centers & shelters, underserved communities, homeless shelters, schools, partnering sites, Edmund D. Edelman Children’s Court, MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach, Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) and the Children’s Law Center (CLC). Programs are implemented by expert trained facilitators with the assistance of Free Arts staff and volunteer mentors, who donate more than 18,000+ hours every year. 78 cents per each dollar is directed to Free Arts programs.
Art Swagger is a 21 and over event! No exceptions!
