Asahi Gakuen is a non-profit organization, supported by the Japanese Ministry of Education since 1969. The purpose of this school is to provide a Japanese education focusing on both academics and culture to the approximately 1,024 students in four branches (Santa Monica, San Gabriel,Torrance, Irvine)that attend the school on Saturdays. The purpose of the Parents Association is to organize various fundraising activities to support the needs of the school and students and to enhance the overall educational and cultural experience.

In December 2024, we will be hosting our annual Raffle Event, which is sponsored by the Parents Association. At this event, we sell donated goods to the family and friends of Asahi Gakuen students as well as offering the donated goods as prizes for the raffle. Proceeds from this event help provide funds items such as , but not limited to, new books for the library, classroom supplies, educational materials, and prizes and awards for student body contests.
