At Vista High, we are dedicated to preparing our students to meet the challenges of their futures. One of our biggest challenges being a Title-One school is students do not have a lot of financial backing or resources to allow them experiences that would enhance their learning.  One way we can overcome this is by reaching out to local businesses and organizations to ask if they can donate a service, gift cards, merchandise, gift baskets, or any other item that you can think of.  These items would then be used for a silent auction online that our club is going to hold at the end of November to raise money. 

The club I run is an ASL Club (American Sign Language) where students learn the basics of the language, learn leadership and community skills, as well as learn about the culture and how we as individuals can be inclusive to those who have difficulties in life.  Our mission and goal is to be able to attend deaf events in southern California where students can meet and interact with other deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Our fundraiser will be held over the course of several days at the end of November and end in early December.  It will be an online silent auction so that we as a club/organization can reach more individuals to increase potnetial funding.  The link for the website will be sent out via social media, through our entire school email thread, and to friends and family of the students as well as myself, the club advisor.  The goal is to reach as many people in southern California as possible so that we can increase our chances of being a successful event.  

All proceeds will go toward the students here at Vista High to be put toward deaf event costs and transportation.
