Description

The Atalissa Community Fire Department is a nonprofit 501©(3) organization.  Our nonprofit number is 42-1397514.  The Atalissa Community Fire Department is a volunteer department that provides emergency services to the residents of Atalissa and the surrounding area.  The Atalissa Community Fire Department proudly protects approximately 2,000 people in a 49 square mile area.  The department members provide fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue, and non-transport medical services to the community.  The Atalissa Community Fire Department is called for additional personnel and equipment in surrounding communities in Muscatine and Cedar counties using mutual aid agreements.

Our largest fund raiser is Atalissa Day on June 25, 2022.  We expect between 300 to 400 people to attend Atalissa Day.  Atalissa Day is a community family fun day.  Some of these events include a car show, bags tournament, kids’ games, bingo, parade, live auction, silent auction, and a dance.  All the proceeds from Atalissa Day will go the Atalissa Community Fire Department to purchase a tanker fire truck.  Since our fire district is rural with only three hydrants getting water to a fire scene is vital.  A tanker truck will allow us to transport water to rural fire scenes.  Our previous tanker truck had to be taken out of service due to mechanical issues and repair costs.  A tanker truck will help ensure our fire district residents have proper fire protection service.

We would greatly appreciate an item or items to auction off at our live auction or silent auction.  Alternatively, you could provide a monetary donation.  With your help, we are sure to achieve this season’s fundraising goal.
