Belle Grove Elementary is a Title One school with 90% of families living below the poverty line.  We are working to help instill the importance of attendance with our students.  Last year 60% of the students were present 90% of the year or more.  We strive to increase that percentage to 65% or more this year.  We hold monthly attendance events where students who have attended school everyday of that month are entered into a raffle to win prizes.  These often include items that help students have new experiences with their families that they would not typically be able to participate in, gift cards that they can use with their family, or a party with their teacher with food and treats to help develop positive relationships.  Our students are kind, resilient, and talented and deserve the best.  Thank you for your consideration.
