Description

Imagine being a young child and losing a parent in a work-related injury.  Not only would you lose your mentor, your source of protection and your provider, but you would likely lose out on much of the future you had planned for too.  In 2022 alone, 87 Tennesseans went to work in the morning and did not return home that evening.  They died at work, leaving far too many children to face the stark reality of life without a parent.

Kids’ Chance of Tennessee is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities for the children of Tennessee workers who were seriously injured or killed on the job.

This letter is to request a donation that can be placed in a auction to benefit Kids’ Chance of Tennessee.

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will be conducting the silent auction in conjunction with its 26th Educational Conference, on June 16, 2023.  Our goal is to raise at least $24,000 which is the approximate cost to cover a one year scholarship for 4 students, and we will gladly accept any donation you would like to place in the auction.

Alternatively, if you wish to become a sponsor, there are multiple levels of sponsorship available to you.  In the enclosed document, we have outlined five levels designed to fit any budget.  All levels provide sponsors tremendous exposure to over 600 conference attendees.  In the end, whether you choose to become a donor or a sponsor, please know that your participation is greatly appreciated and will be instrumental in helping children pursue and achieve their educational goals.

If you would like additional information, please contact me using the information below, or Suzy Douglas, Kids’ Chance of Tennessee Board Member, at suzy.douglas@tn.gov or 615-532-1326.  You can also visit www.kidschanceoftn.org.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
