Description
We provide a food bank 5 days a week, multiple hot meals 7 days a week, a diaper bank, a clothing bank, hygiene kits, blankets, furniture, senior events, household furniture and goods, and other essentials for anyone in need. We now serve as many as one thousand low-income families, individuals, struggling seniors, and the homeless daily.
To help us keep up with the increasing demand for essentials, we will be hosting an Author Tea fundraiser. Erin Gruwell, author of The Freedom Writers Diary (which inspired the movie Freedom Writers, starring Hilary Swank), will be a speaker at our fundraising event. The Tea fundraiser is scheduled for June 3rd, 2023 in Long Beach. We will host a silent and live auction as a part of the fundraiser.
