This is our annual event to honor our graduates and children who have acheived success in their educational studies and community service. As homeschoolers we need to create our own ceremonies to show the kids their efforts are noticed. We are located in the south suburbs of Chicago and many of our members are financialy challenged. They homeschool in search of a better education and a safe learning atmosphere. Our children participate in several community service projects such as packing daily needs items for the South Suburban Women and Childrens Crisis Center, making cards and care packages for our troops and the local nursing home. They plant and maintain a community garden and donate the fresh vegetables to the local food pantry where they also volunteer time carrying in boxes of food and carrying bags out for the patrons. They also go to Feed My Starving Children and donate time packing food to be sent to children in need. We take collections for the animal shelter as well. 

This is why we have our annual Awards and Graduation Dinner event. Because our children deserve to know that we care about them and their efforts.
