Motivation for giving comes from many places but where we focus our efforts is largely determined by our own experiences. While some of us have acquaintances or loved ones who have been affected by Alzheimer’s, this is a more personal journey for us. One can read that Alzheimer’s is the 6^th leading cause of death in the U.S., but that cannot convey the experience of watching your parent or friend lose the very fabric of their memories and their ability for self care. We can inform you that 5.7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s and that every 65 seconds that number grows, but we would like to add a different perspective: HOPE and ACTION.

This is why we are choosing to serve as the gala chairs for the 2019 AWARE Affair: Celebrate the Moments - Blooms of Hope benefiting AWARE Dallas on Friday, April 5, 2019.  

AWARE grants funding to nonprofit organizations in Dallas that provide services, education and resources to those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. AWARE also provides funding to local organizations that are doing valuable research in this field to mitigate or end the blight of Alzheimer’s.
