Drew CDC's annual Back 2 School Community Resource Fair is held to distribute free backpacks and school supplies to over 700 children whose families already struggle to afford the most basic human needs, such as food and shelter, so school supplies and items are simply unattainable. Additionally, in partnership with other community organizations, we offer health screenings, vaccinations, haircuts, new shoes, and other important items/services families need to get ready for a successful school year.
