Description

The Marshall County Sheriff Reserve Unit is hosting it's first annual "Back the Badge" Clay Shoot. This year we are looking for 20 teams of 5 shooters who will compete for trophies and bragging rights throughout the morning. Team Sponsorship is available online and gets you everthing you need to have a fun day and advertisement for yourself. Catered lunch will be provided for all sponsored team members.

During the shoot we will have booths setup inside the event center where raffle tickets will be sold as well as shirts, cozies, and a 50/50 raflle. Silent auction items will be on display for bidding so bring your friends and family. Non shooters are welcome all day and tickets can be purchased for additional meals as well. Everyone is welcome to register and bid on items as well as participate in the days raffles.

Our unit is comprised of sworn law enforcement officers who volunteer in the community to assist the public and the Sheriff's Department in duties and details asked of and assigned to us by the Sheriff. While we fall under the title "special deputies" we are not paid emplyees of the county and instead operate under our own Non Profit 501c3 staus. As such, we are limited on our funding and are looking to the citizens and business owners of the county to come together and help us achieve our goal of $18,000.00 need for the purchase of portable radios that we are in desperate need of. Officer safety when on duty is our #1 priority and the current state of our outdated radios has gone by the way side for too long. As 2024 began and a new Board of Members took over we vowed to step up for the community in which we serve and make much more effort to get out into the public view and show Marshall County who the Reserve Unit is and what we are here to do. With that comes the need to update and improve our gear and the effectiveness of what we can do. The updated radios we seek have WiFi capabilities the older radios do not that will infact work inside our schools throughout the county more efficiently. This will elevate our ability to communicate within the walls of the schools and be better equiped to walk the halls and be present during sporting events. The main purpose of the Reserve Unit is to bridge the gap between Law Enforcement and the public and be the faces of the department as we work alongside the citizens we protect in our daily jobs and lives. Your support by way or sponsorship, monetary donations, or in kind auction items will help us make our goal this year.

All sponsors/donors will recieve their logo with hyperlink on our website. In addition, they will have their logo on our large color banners at the event as well as our facebook page and on the WTCA radio station when we have our interview to promote the event in June. We want to give recognition to the companies and people who help us help them. There is no price for admission into the facility to participate in the raffles and auction. If you are wanting to participate in the shoot you will need to register online where you can also purchase raffle tickets and meal tickets. We look forward to seeing everyone there and thank you for your consideration in donating.
