Hillside Organization of Parents and Educators' annual auction, Back to the 80s: Raffle and Auction Fundraiser, will be held on April 20, 2024, at Founders Hall in Ashburn, VA, and will include dinner, dancing, basket raffles, and silent and live auctions. Approximately 100 guests are expected to attend with exposure to over 500 Hillside families and staff members as well as our local Loudoun community.

Funds raised from the auction will be utilized for age-appropriate and accessible playground improvements. Play is a critical part of early childhood education which helps children build social and emotional skills—such as communicating, operating within social structures, and developing bonds with others—and fosters physical and gross motor skills. Our goal is to upgrade our small and outdated playground to a larger and completely accessible, multi-age-appropriate playground because we believe all students may better meet their potential when benefiting from outdoor play.

Donors are recognized leading up to and during the event through our auction catalog, website, and event materials. Logo marketing on signage at the event is available through sponsorships. Your donation will significantly help us meet our fundraising goal of $11,000 and bring us a step closer to making a new playground possible. 

The Hillside Organization of Parents and Educators (Hillside PTO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support and service to students, families, and educators of the Hillside community. Through fundraising, we can support our mission to strengthen, enhance, and encourage the educational and social environment of Hillside Elementary.
