Back to the Future... A benefit for Camp Able
Gala/Party for Campanile Foundation/ Camp Able at CoronadoFeb 24, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM
For the past 43 years, Camp Able at Coronado has offered a unique beach-based day camp experience for thousands of children and adults with disabilities in San Diego County. Our participants include those with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, medically fragile needs and other disabilities. Through Camp Able, we are able to assist our participants in experiencing a broad range of fun and exciting activities, despite their medical or physical limitations.
Camp Able is dedicated to providing a summer beach camp experience without the barriers of a disability. The majority of our campers are low income and often burdened by the costs of expensive therapies for their conditions. This limits their access to recreational activities. We pride ourselves on never turning down campers due to inability to pay. In order to keep costs low and provide “camperships,” we will be hosting our annual fundraising benefit. This year’s “Back to the Future… Benefit for Camp Able” on February 24,2024 at the Coronado Golf Course Feast and Fareway.
We are contacting you to request a donation for our silent auction. This item would be highlighted prominently in our auction program, website, and social media as we approach the date of the event. Your donation would make a truly impactful difference in the lives of our campers. One hundred percent of the money raised is used for operations and camperships to allow low-income participants to enjoy camp. We are a nonprofit, 501©(3) Internal Revenue Service organization and our Federal Tax Identification Number is 33-0868418.
