The Baltimore City Prevention Convention is dedicated to supporting the well-being of families and children impacted by community trauma. Brown Girl Wellness and City Weeds assist individuals, and  through our partnership with Morgan State University, John Hopkins Source, University of Maryland Extension, MICA, and community partners, we cultivate awareness at each Prevention Convention event to combat social determinants that impact marginalized communities. The Prevention Convention helps to raise funds for Brown Girl Wellness and City Weeds programs and initiatives to support vulnerable families, single mothers, and community residents facing food insecurity, housing, and poverty barriers.

Our Vision is to break the cycle of trauma, violence, food insecurity, unemployment and homelessness and to lay the foundation for generations of safe families and nurturing communities.

Thank you in advance for considering our request and hope you are able to support the Baltimore City Prevention Convention and the thousands of families in need across the city this year-especially women and children.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

D. Rica Wilson and Dominic K. Nell
