Mission Centers of Houston is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to transforming the inner city of Houston by meeting the needs of under-resourced individuals and families living in the communities we serve. Each week we offer food and clothing distribution, homeless assistance, after school programs for at risk children and youth, senior adult activities, and adult classes at our community centers. Recently we have experienced an increase in those requesting assistance, which in turn requires additional funding for us to meet these needs. As a nonprofit organization we do not receive funding from the state or federal government, nor do we charge clients for services. We depend solely on generous donations from individuals, organizations and businesses. In addition to this we hold two annual fundraising events to generate additional revenues. On January 28, 2022, we will hold our Barbecue, Boots & Boogie – our largest fundraising event at which we expect an attendance of 250 to 300.
